silver925 / 18k plated silver925 / 18k / pt950
-silver925
Silver925 means that it is 92.5% silver, with the remaining 7.5% being a mixture of metals such as copper.
Silver accessories may turn black if worn for a long time.
Many people think that this discoloration is due to rust, but in fact it has turned black due to a reaction called sulfidation.
When silver turns black due to reaction with sulfur components in the air, sweat, or hot spring components (hot springs without sulfur will not react), this is called sulfuration.
There is also a technique called "smoking" which deliberately makes silver black, so if you like the look of a well-worn item, you can enjoy the natural darkening that occurs as you use it.
If you like it shiny and new, cleaning it will make it look nice.
To clean, wipe with the included silver cloth.
We recommend storing it in a sealable bag.
This item is unlikely to cause allergies, but if you experience an allergic reaction, please stop wearing it immediately.
-18k plated silver925
Silver 925 with 18k coating.
The plating may come off if the item gets wet, such as when washed by hand while wearing it, or if the item gets wet from sweat.
Please be careful when handling.
To clean, wipe gently with a soft cloth.
(Please note that wiping with a silver cloth may remove the plating.)
Please store in a sealable bag.
-18k
The gold coating on top of Silver 925 is called 18k and is about 75% pure gold.
The remaining metals, other than pure gold, are generally mixed with silver and copper.
It is resistant to discoloration and has excellent durability, making it ideal for use as accessories.
Also, because of the high purity of gold, it is said to be less likely to cause allergies.
-Pt950
Pt950 is platinum with a purity of 95% that meets international standards.
(The Platinum Guild International, the international promotional organization for platinum, has set the international standard for platinum jewelry as Pt950 or higher.)
It is a rare precious metal characterized by its silvery color and elegant shine.
This material has characteristics that make it suitable for wedding rings, which are worn on a daily basis, such as no risk of deterioration or discoloration and being less likely to cause metal allergies.
*Please note that this is a metal that is easily scratched.

Jewelry Care
First of all, the materials used by Ao are silver925/18k/pt950.
[ silver925 ]
Silver925 is 92.5% silver, and the remaining 7.5% is a mixture of metals such as copper. This is because silver is originally soft, so other metals are mixed in to maintain its strength.
Some people may feel that their silver accessories have darkened after wearing them for a long time, but in fact, they are not rusting, but rather darkening due to a reaction called sulfurization. This sulfurization is caused by sulfur components in the air, sweat, and components in hot springs. Unlike rust, sulfurization only creates a film on the metal surface, so it can be restored to its original state by simply polishing the surface.
We will introduce how to store and care for your product.
[Storage method]
In order to prevent discoloration due to sulfurization, it is important to keep the leather out of air. Also, be careful not to expose it to sweat, sebum, cosmetics, perfume, etc., as these can also cause discoloration.
1. After use, wipe off with a silver cloth.
2. Divide your accessories into small pieces and store them in small zipper bags. Store earrings and other items separately for each side. We recommend wrapping them in cloth or tissue to prevent scratches.
These measures will help reduce discoloration. They may seem like a lot of work, but they're very easy, so give them a try!
[Care instructions]
1. Polish with a silver cloth: By polishing it regularly with a silver cloth, you can keep it in good condition.
2. Use Speed-Dip, a sulfide removal cleaner for silver: Immerse the silver accessory you want to clean in Speed-Dip. Do not hold it directly in your hands, but use a non-conductive object to immerse it in the liquid. Immerse it in the liquid for no more than 10 seconds. Then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. If the effect is not sufficient after one treatment, repeat the washing and soaking process.
Even if your silver accessories have turned black, it is possible to restore them to their original condition, so be sure to try these care methods.
[ 18k ]
Gold is called 18k and is about 75% pure gold. The remaining metals are generally mixed with silver or copper. It is resistant to tarnishing and has durability, making it suitable for processing into accessories.
[Storage method]
1. Store in a dedicated jewelry box: Store your 18K jewelry in a dedicated jewelry box. Each piece of jewelry has its own storage space and will not bump into each other.
2. Store in a sealed environment: Moisture and oxygen in the air can damage the shine of your jewelry, so store it in a sealed environment. It is a good idea to put silica gel or other moisture-absorbing materials in your jewelry box.
3. Avoid direct sunlight: Keep your jewelry out of direct sunlight and strong light, which may change the color and shine of your jewelry.
[Care instructions]
1. Wipe with a soft cloth: Wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth or a special jewelry cloth to remove dirt and fingerprints, especially after wearing or taking off your jewelry every day.
2. Do not soak: Soaking is too harsh for 18K jewelry and may actually damage it. Even if you use a mild acid detergent or soap, keep soaking time to a minimum and rinse immediately.
With proper storage and care, your 18K jewelry will remain beautiful for a long time.
[pt950]
PT950 is an alloy of platinum and is a very valuable material. Proper storage and care are important. Below are some proper storage and home care methods.
[Storage method]
1. Store in a dedicated jewelry box: Store your PT950 jewelry in a dedicated jewelry box, so that each piece of jewelry has its own storage space and does not collide with each other.
2. Store in a sealed environment: Moisture and oxygen in the air can damage platinum's shine, so store it in a sealed environment. It's a good idea to put silica gel or something similar in your jewelry box to absorb moisture.
3. Avoid direct sunlight: Store away from direct sunlight and strong light. Sunlight and strong light can change the color and shine of platinum.
[Care instructions]
1. Wipe with a soft cloth: Wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth or a special jewelry cloth to remove dirt and fingerprints, especially after wearing or taking off your jewelry every day.
2. Wash with warm water and mild detergent: Use warm water and mild detergent to clean your PT950 jewelry. Use a soft toothbrush or soft brush to gently remove dirt. Rinse thoroughly after washing and wipe dry.
With proper storage and care, your PT950 jewelry will remain beautiful for a long time.
